FAQs

No. ClearVector runs as Private SaaS: the analysis components operate inside infrastructure associated with your own cloud tenancy, and your customer data stays in your environment. The platform analyzes identity metadata, meaning the record of which identity took which action, against which resource, and when.
All production data resides in a single AWS region in the United States (US-East). Production data is logically segregated between customer tenants, and non-production environments contain no unmasked production customer data.
Sensitive and internal data is encrypted at rest and transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher; plaintext transmission is prohibited. Keys are managed under our Cryptography and Key Management Policy, and data at end of retention is destroyed by cryptographic erasure consistent with NIST SP 800-88.
Workforce access runs through Okta with single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and device trust. Access is role-based and least-privilege, reviewed at least quarterly, and removed within 24 hours of a person's last day. Only company-managed, encrypted devices can reach company systems.
Yes. An independent third party tests the production environment at least once a year, and findings are tracked to closure. Dependency and software-composition scanning runs throughout development, and every production change is reviewed by someone other than its author.
Production data is backed up automatically and incrementally, and backups are encrypted with restricted access. Our business continuity and disaster recovery plans are tested at least once a year through a tabletop exercise and a restore test measured against our recovery objectives.
Incidents are detected, triaged, contained and communicated under our Incident Response Policy, led by our vCISO. Each report is assessed against the policy to determine customer and regulatory notification obligations, and the process is exercised at least once a year.
